The SPIRALAIRFOIL™
Wind Turbine
INTRODUCTION
Welcome to SpiralAirFoil. We are a
Hillsborough, New Hampshire company.
We believe in three things that are
important to you:
- The world needs to change the way energy
is produced and consumed.
- A United States company should stay here
and employ a skilled local workforce.
- Those customers receive the highest
quality and most enduring product possible.
A good company is not something to be
grown, sold to the highest bidder and moved overseas. We believe that our
company will thrive because we are dedicated to employing the best of the
Northern New England labor force.
ABOUT SPIRALAIRFOIL AND OUR PRODUCT
Back in 1923 Philo Farnsworth was tending his
rows and rows of potatoes when he discovered electronic scanning and
invented television.
Now, Dan Parker, doing carpentry, saw the
potential of the double helix as a way to generate electricity. Parker
labored for three years developing practical solutions for wind and
hydropower based on the helix. The result is a simple turbine that safely
converts wind energy to electricity even under the slightest breeze.
PROPELLERS VS. TURBINES
When we think of wind power we conjure
images of tall three bladed propellers turning placidly. While beautiful
to look at they are expensive to build and they threaten migrating birds
even more than blue glass skyscrapers. So while three bladed propellers
were great for WWII bombers the helix turbine is a much more elegant and
practical approach to wind power. The SpiralAirFoil is far more efficient
than propeller wind machines. SpiralAirFoil is 50% more efficient than
propellers as shown in a 95-year-old formula from the German physicist,
Albert Betz. SpiralAirFoil turbines also operate in lower wind
speeds-1.5-to-2 mph vs. the 7-to-10 mph needed for the older technology.
Where we are:
Several evaluation units have been built
and tested for performance in the wind. This has resulted in a smaller but
accurate version of the turbine we plan to build as our first product.
- We have all of the drawings and
documents to build 3 prototypes
- Prototypes to be used for:
- Independent performance testing
- Environmental testing
- Last minute design improvements
This insures our future customers get a
product that meets or exceeds its claims.
Where we are going:
We have applied for both State and federal
grants to get us moving into the next phase, which is to start producing
and selling this turbine around the world. This means:
- Quality jobs in New Hampshire and its
sister states.
- Jobs that will stay in the United States
- Less dependence of fossil and nuclear
fuels.
- Less green house gasses.
- More independence from large utilities
and corporations.
Again it is our intent to make this a
United States company and employ United States workers!
Request for Donations:
In order to take the most effective
advantage of the forthcoming grant money, the team at SpiralAirFoil needs
to:
- Raise $15,000 through donations
- Build 3 pre-production prototypes
- Make arrangements for independent agency
testing of these prototypes.
To make this happen, we are asking for your
support and donations of not less than $2 and not more than $5. Please
make checks payable to:

We are starting to receive inquiries
regarding large “investments.” We are working with an attorney to
work out the details of such investments.
Conclusion:
The team here has been donating their time,
efforts, and office/lab space without compensation. Your donations will go
only to the direct cost of procurement of parts and materials, the
fabrication of 3 units and the beginning of formal testing.
Once donations start coming in, we will
post the progress of the fundraising, the procurement, build activities,
and fact of your help on our web site (privacy will be respected)
www.SpiralAirfoil.com
where you may monitor the progress being made. I believe that we can make
a positive difference to the environmental condition of our planet and
give our children and grandchildren a better place than the way we found
it.
Yours truly, ~~~ Dan Parker
